- Cosponsor programs
Policies
Treeside Psychological Clinic has been providing continuing education in various capacities since 2009. Originally, a small group of clinicians combined efforts and traveled the country to attend the most highly recommended and researched trainings and shared their knowledge with one another. This developed into their first official education organization, Treeside Institute for Clinical Advancement (TICA), as a means to offer approved clock hours to clinicians. While TICA is no longer an active provider, Treeside has continued to host continuing education and was officially approved on August 1, 2022 under ACEP number 7238.
Brenton and Jennifer Place stepped into the leadership of Treeside Psychological Clinic in September 2020 and share the vision of its original founders, Jim and Renee Rowe, to support and empower clinicians to continue developing their clinical skills and facilitating community support as a protection against burnout and secondary trauma. Typically, trainings are limited to 12 in person participants due to physical space; however, additional participants can be included virtually.
While we are an organization founded on the principals of the Christian faith, we welcome clients and clinicians of any and all faith backgrounds. Our programs do not take a position that any particular political or religious belief/principle is dysfunctional, inappropriate, unacceptable, or incorrect. Likewise, we do not promote Sexual Orientation Change Efforts as a therapeutic method. We want all providers and participants to feel safe as that will ultimately lead to the best care possible for the community.
In order to receive continuing education clock hours, one must participate in real time either in person or virtually. If participating virtually, one must keep their camera on to allow for the program administrator to be able to verify your attendance.
Fees, whenever applicable, will be stated explicitly on any promotional materials. Cancellations occurring less than 48-hours prior to the event will be offered credit toward a future training; cancellations prior to 48-hours will be offered a full refund.
Certificates will be provided to participants who complete the entire training and complete their survey. We utilize that feedback to further improve our course offerings and gather recommendations for future training.
If a participant would like to express a concern about his/her experience with Treeside Psychological Clinic, they may call or email Jennifer Place at jplace@treesidecounseling.com. Although we do not guarantee a particular outcome, the participant can expect us to consider the complaint, make any necessary decisions and communicate with the participant within ten business days. We strive to offer clinically sound training that increases the quality of services provided by the clinician.
*Treeside Psychological Clinic has been approved by NBCC as an Approved Continuing Education Provider, ACEP No. 7238. Programs that do not qualify for NBCC credit are clearly identified. Treeside Psychological Clinic is solely responsible for all aspects of the programs.*
