Brenton and Jennifer Place are the current owners of Treeside, an organization originally founded by Jim and Renee Rowe. The clinic opened September 15, 2000, in a small office space with three rooms. After five years, the clinic had outgrown the space and finding a new location was the focus. God led them to a place that was beyond anything they could imagine. The Rowes were smitten when they walked through the door of the historic 1899 Wieland House, located in downtown Lake Orion, Michigan.
The desire to have a place that would offer serenity to the Rowes, the clinicians and the clientele was the number one priority. Our team is drawn to help others on their spiritual and psychological journey to find love, hope and restorative power in Jesus Christ. The Wieland House, known for its gardens and historical significance to the Lake Orion community, was the answer. “This was the healing place Jim and I had always dreamed of.” Renee said.
The beauty of the house is relaxing and inviting. Clients can relax on the porch swing or bistro set in the backyard next to the waterfall. The landscaping paints an ever-changing view of God’s creation. The beauty inside the house offers warmth and comfort. The Rowes carefully decorated each room so the clients could enjoy and savor the atmosphere.
What began as a team of two, God has developed into a thriving team of skilled clinicians under the leadership of the Places since September 15, 2020. They shared the vision of the Rowes and have been entrusted with continuing the mission: where clients and clinicians can find healing.
Each clinician has their own personal story of how the Holy Spirit led them to Treeside. We love each other as Christ has loved us. We sharpen each other with bi-weekly staff meetings. We are dedicated to clinical excellence and advanced training in our various fields of expertise.
Our goal as a Christian clinic is to provide help, comfort, and strength to those in need.
