Licensed Professional Counselor
I am consistently grateful for the opportunity to walk with others through the change and growth process. I have extensive experience with depression, anger, anxiety, ADHD, Asperger’s Syndrome, substance abuse, and couple’s/family therapy. My passion is working with men. As men we often make sure to leave
emotion out of our decision making process. This can be effective in most work environments and problem solving. However, if we desire fulfilling and functioning relationships we need to learn to factor our personal emotions into the equation and learn to effectively communicate them.
I specialize in interpersonal communication skills. While conflict will always exist in relationships fighting, scapegoating, shaming, and blaming are not necessary. We resort to such tactics because our efforts at communicating our perspective and needs failed or we just figure they would never work in the first place.
My work with men extends to young men and adolescents. I enjoy the process of working with young men who were “dragged” into therapy and end up enjoying the experience. I work to bridge the gap between adolescents and their parents.
