Travis Waker, TLLP
Temporary Limited License Psychologist

I believe there is no greater privilege one human being can give to another than allowing you as a clinician to walk along side them in their pain. The world throws a variety of challenges at us and sometimes all we need is a different perspective. I am humbled and honored that clients trust me with their stories, it is a responsibility I do not take lightly.
My treatment approach is multifaceted. I primarily use a mix of solution focused, existentialism. Solution focused because I believe the clinician and client should work together in an egalitarian relationship to find solutions to improve your circumstances. You know your life better than anyone, my role is to meet you where you’re at and assist you in that process. I use existentialism because as Viktor Frankel said, “Man’s search for meaning is the chief motivation of his life.” Everyone has a purpose and often times folks seek out counseling because they’re not sure what happened to the meaning in their lives. It is my hope that I can assist in finding that purpose with you. I use a variety of other treatment approaches but
try to tailor my approach to what each individual client needs at the time.
My faith and trust in Jesus is the most important thing in my life. I believe everyone is made in the image of God and deserves to be treated as such. I do not require that you are a Christian to be seen by me. It is not my role to dictate spirituality to you. I will let you lead in that area, if you want to pray/ look at Scripture, etc., that’s great, if you want nothing to do with that, that’s great to. I want to meet you where you’re at, whatever that looks like. I look forward to meeting you!
