Alexa Caporuscio, LLPC
Limited Licensed Professional Counselor
It’s my passion to walk alongside others as they navigate the peaks and valleys of life. Together, we’re able to bring forth clarity through the counseling relationship, supportive conversation and various interventions to create a further understanding of the client’s worldview. My clients are typically children, adolescents and young adults.
During developmental stages, individuals have unique challenges and ever changing obstacles they endure. I am eager to work through these obstacles with my clients as they face the unknown. While working with clients, I hope to provide them with a supportive environment in which they will strengthen their confidence and self-awareness in order to aid them in the future.
I have an integrated counseling approach which consists of cognitive behavioral interventions, developmental theories, a person-centered approach and utilizing a trauma-informed approach when necessary. Interventions I am also interested in implementing are relaxation techniques and mindfulness. It is most important for me to build an authentic relationship with my clients in which they feel comfortable to explore any thoughts and emotions.
In addition to working with clients in a clinical setting, I also work with children and adolescents as a school counselor. My experience as a school counselor has allowed me to work with students and families experiencing a wide range of concerns.
