Carrie Zanoni, MA, LPC
Licensed Professional Counselor
Change is a part of life that we all experience. If the change is good we run to tell someone about it. If the change is not good we often keep it ourselves. Sometimes even pretending like nothing happened and life will go on as usual. In times like this what we need is the support and love from our friends, family, and other people in our life.
My counseling approach is client centered. This allows for the person’s interests, desires, and priorities to play an active role in their treatment planning. I support the idea that what a person chooses to do is directly related to what that person chooses to think. I use cognitive behavioral therapy in session to promote positive and lasting change.
My desire is to be the person you can turn to for support and guidance when you feel there’s nowhere else for you to turn. I will take your hand and walk next to you as you face life’s valleys, climb up life’s mountains, and cross through life’s plains. We will do it together. You will not walk alone.
In May 2010 I graduated with a Master of Arts in Counseling from Spring Arbor University. In December 2002 I graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Counseling/Psychology.
While attending school and after receiving my degree and state licensure I have worked in private practice offices, community mental health organizations, residential treatment facilities and women’s shelters offering services that include outpatient, inpatient, and residential counseling. I have provided counseling to individuals, families, groups, and couples. I am experienced in working with children, teens, young adults, adults, and seniors.
“For I know the plans I have for you declares the Lord. Plans to prosper you and not to harm you. Plans to give you a hope and a future”
